"When you glance at the Pigeon Towers, don't you know they stare back? They know you well, from every angle. From every morning mood to every journey home. They stand alone. They stand for all of us. For those who left. Those who hung around. And those who had no choice."

Just as our history is littered with rebellion and uprising, the towers themselves symbolise defiance in the face of adversity. They may stand derelict and in decay, but still they stand. They stand for all of us. They're part of our identity, our culture, our history and our memories.

For generations of Irish emigrants, the towers were a poignant last glimpse of home seen from the horizon, as the boats departed from Dun Laoghaire. Some never returned. But rather than evoke memories of loss and departure, we turned the perspective back onto land and back in time. Back to when you grew up. Back to all the times you had travelled the coast and glanced at the towers. Often lost in thought. We challenge you to remember those thoughts
and those days. To remember home.
